Digital TV

Yesterday I got a TataSky DTH connection. Not being much of a TV user it does not matter too much. Took it because it was a 'benefit' from my employer. Wonder what its with the people that they give away digital TV connections. Melvin mentioned that he is also getting DTH connections from his office, IIRC it was DishTV.

Good part is that I don't have to deal with the grainy analog movies being telecast (yeah, movies are mostly what I use TV for). Reminders are useful if I were a bonafide couch potato (probably I could have them sent to my comp. instead :P). The bad part is that its scores pretty low on cost-benefit (for me, that is). I guess I might have to pay tax for this as well. The interactivity is almost useless. PVR is something I am looking forward to, though. I wonder how its going to affect those movie channels which do lotza re-runs.
